Ready for recital?

The 2012 Summer Recital is only 6 days away! Are you ready?? Review the checklist below to help get organized...

RECITAL CHECKLIST

• Costumes - They should be hung on a hanger and labeled. We suggest white medical tape with the dancers full name on the inside of the costume. Remembber all the girls have the same costumes so do the stage helpers (and yourself) a favor and label everything!
• Accessories - Each costume came with accessories. We suggest putting them all in a zip lock baggie and hanging it on the hanger with the matching costume.

• Hair - All dancers need to wear their hair in a low bun. The hair should be slicked back.

• Tights - Always a good idea to pack an extra pair.
• Shoes - Tap, Ballet, Jazz, White Tennis Shoes...bring them all. And don't forget to label them...
• Snacks - For both the rehearsal and recital. The dancers get hunger, send snacks so they don't have to watch their friends munch away. Goldfish or animal crackers are good and so is bottled water. Nothing that will mess up the costumes please.
• Tickets - Have you ordered your tickets? Everyone that will be sitting in the auditorium will need a ticket.
• Most important thing...LABEL EVERYTHING! 

And remember...only stage helpers are allowed backstage. If you are not on the list you will not be allowed backstage. All stage helpers have been sent information. If you did not recieve the email you are not listed as a stage helper and will not be allowed backstage.

Recital Information

Recital: 6:00 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012 (Dancers must arrive at 5:20 p.m.)
Location: Tempe Performing Arts Center
                  700 W. Rio Salado Parkway
                  Tempe, AZ 85281

Recital: Dancers, please arrive at 5:20 p.m. in your first costume/ full hair and make-up. Please check in your dancer with security and proceed to your seats; the recital will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m.  There will be a 10-minute intermission halfway through the show. We should finish by around 8:30 p.m. If your dancer is late to the recital, they may miss their performance. It is imperative that your dancer is on time!

Only Stage Helpers are allowed backstage. If your dancer is not ready when you arrive you can not go backstage to dress them.

All dancers will remain backstage for the entire recital. The dancers will be released at the security entrance at end of the recital.

NOTE: RECITAL ORDER IS DIFFERENT THAN REHEARSAL ORDER.

DRESS REHEARSAL IS NOT AT THE DANCE STUDIO!

ALL COMBO LEVEL 1 students arrive in their first costume at 9:00 a.m at the SOUTH ENTRANCE doors of the Tempe Performing Arts Center (Please refer to the order of routines attached).

ALL LEVEL 2 and TECH students please arrive at 10:00 am. Stage parents will be waiting for your child. You will sign in your child with security and you may go to the audience to view the rehearsal if you would like.

Only stage volunteers are allowed backstage.

Ticket Price Correction

Tickets for dance event go on sale at TCA

TEMPE, Ariz. – Tickets for the Sundance Studios Summer Recital 2012 go on sale at 10 a.m. on Wednesday through the Tempe Center for the Arts (TCA) Box Office, 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway.

Tickets are $15.75, not including service or convenience fees. Seating is general admission.

The recital is scheduled for 6 p.m. on July 21 in the Tempe Center for the Arts Theater. For information, visit www.sundancestudiosphoenix.blogspot.com/

Tickets: Tickets will be on sale at the Tempe Performing Arts Center Box Office on July 11, 2012 (480-350-2822). Please reserve your tickets in advance; our show is likely to sell out!

2012/2013 Registration

Registration for the 2012/2013 Dance Year is now open. The registration is waived for all current clients that register prior to July 15th. Please email if you have any questions about the schedule or what classes are recommended for your dancer.
