Directions from Sundance Studios to Tempe Performing Arts Center:

Head East on Baseline Rd. (Towards the 60/AZ Mills Mall)

Turn LEFT (North) on S. Priest Dr. (Right by AZ Mills)

Turn RIGHT (East) on Rio Salado Parkway

Make a U-Turn onto W. Rio Salado Parkway

End: 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe AZ 85281-5293

Dress Rehearsal: All students arrive in their first costume at 9:00 a.m. at the SOUTH ENTRANCE doors of the Tempe Performing Arts Center (Please refer to the order of routines attached). All other costumes must be labeled (white tape works well) with the student’s name and dance on it. It is highly recommended to have a garment/dance bag with all of your child’s costumes in your child’s hands. Please put all accessories to costumes (bows, shoe ties, etc.) in a plastic baggie with your costume bag. Don’t forget tap/ballet shoes and flesh colored tights. Please put your child’s name on his/her shoes!

Stage Moms: There will be 1 to 2 stage moms for each dance. There will be a mandatory meeting for stage moms on Saturday, July 10^th @ 1:15 p.m. at the studio. We are still welcoming more stage help; stage moms will receive a complimentary ticket. Stage moms are the ONLY parents aloud backstage or in the dressing rooms. Stage moms will be wearing badges and children will be signing in and out with security when you drop them at the stage doors. If you are not a stage mom, please be seated in the auditorium while you enjoy the show. All dancers must remain back stage for the entire show. Releasing dancers prior to the end of the show is a serious safety hazard. Please do not leave early; we want you to enjoy the show! After dress rehearsal, we will announce for you to pick up your dancers at the South entrance/security checkpoint. Please have this document handy with your order of routines as a reference. Dress rehearsal should finish by approximately 12:30 p.m.

Recital: Dancers, please arrive at 5:20 p.m. in your first costume/ full hair and make-up. The recital will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. There will be a 10-minute intermission halfway through the show. We should finish by around 8:30 p.m.

Tickets: Tickets will be on sale at the Tempe Performing Arts Box Office on July 2, 2010 (480-350-2822). Please reserve your tickets in advance; our show is likely to sell out!

DVD’s: Everyone will receive a complimentary DVD of the show!!

We will be taking pictures the week of June 14th-June 19th at the studio in full hair, make-up (if you desire for your child to wear make-up), tights, and costume. We have already taken pictures with the winter recital costumes, if you would like a retake, you may bring that costume as well. Below are the criteria for each class:

~ Tuition Reminder – ALL tuition, regardless of payment type, is due on the 1^st of the month. All payments received after the 1^st will be charged a $25 late fee.

~ July Recital – The July 17^th recital is quickly approaching. Please make sure your dancer is attending every class to practice the routine. More information about rehearsal/recital times and ticket sales will be provided shortly. COSTUMES- costumes should be arriving soon. Please try them on once you get them to ensure they fit prior to the recital.

~ Mother/Daughter Dance – For this recital we will be doing a mother/daughter dance. Rehearsals will be every Saturday from 12:30-1:15pm beginning on June12th. Mom/daughters must attend ALL practices to perform at the recital. Please let Melissa know if you are interested.

~ Stage Moms Needed – Two stage Moms are needed from each class. Sign Ups will begin in May with a mandatory informational meeting on Saturday July 10th at 1:15 pm. It is imperative we have 2 from each class. Each Stage Mom will receive a complimentary ticket. Thank you in advance!

~ Sundance Studio Merchandise is here! – Check out the merchandise in the lobby that is for sale. Please let Melissa if you would like to order a warm up.

~ Keep your eyes open for some new and exciting information about Sundance Studios!

PARENT REMINDERS:

~ Students should arrive to class 5 minutes prior to the start time in order to have shoes on and ready for class to begin. For Combo classes shoes must be kept in the studio as the shoe change can be quick with as little distraction as possible.

~ Parents are not allowed in the studio during class. This is a distraction for all students. To ensure the best dance education, please remain in the lobby area.

NON SUFFICENT FUNDS: Any non sufficient funds will add a $25 charge to your balance. Balances left unpaid will result in student withdrawal until account has been paid in full (in order for payments to be funded by the first of each month, transactions are subject to be pending 48 hours in advance).

MAKE-UP POLICY: If you plan to miss a class or you have an unexpected illness, you have 30 calendar days to make up your class. You must email your preference of make-up classes to Melissa (Melissa.sundancestudios@yahoo.com) in order to plan the date of your make-up. Make-up classes are a great way to try new genres of dance. So if your child wants to try something new, it is encouraged! Missed classes do not constitute a refund and cannot be added to result in a free or reduced tuition for future use.
