Schedule Changes – We would like to thank everyone for their flexibility and understanding with the recent schedule changes. We are excited to be able to offer some additional classes. Please visit the website (www.sundancestudiosphoenix.blogspot.com) to see the most current schedule.

Winter Recital DVD – We are very proud of all the dancers that danced their hearts out at the Winter Recital. Everyone did such a great job! The DVDs take roughly 4 weeks. You will be receiving an email once they are here. 

Summer Recital (July 14^th) Costumes – Hard to believe there are only 168 days until the next recital. Costume fees will be pulled on March 1^st to ensure all costumes arrive in time for picture week and recital. Costume fees are $65 ($85 for Hip Hop costumes) and $25 for the recital fee. Please note if you pre-ordered your costume you will only owe the $25 recital fee.

Add On Class Offer EXTENDED – We have extended the Add On Class Offer (add1 class to your current schedule for $25, add on 2 for an additional $40) until Feb 10^th. Please let us know if you would like to take advantage of this offer.

StaceyJ Hip Hop Class – StaceyJ will be choreographing the routines for the July recital. The 24^th St class is Fri Feb 3^rd from 7-9pm. The 75^th Ave class is Fri Feb 10^th from 5-7pm.

Competition Teams – The competition season is underway. Come and show your Sundance Studios support. The next competition is Feb 10-12 at Pinnacle High School. We will also be taking a trip on a Caribbean Cruise during summer break!

Lobby Addition – There is now a TV in the 24^th St location that is running ads at our location as well as others throughout the valley. Ask if you have any questions.

Tuition Reminder – ALL tuition, regardless of payment type, is due on the 1^st of the month. All payments received after the 1^st will be charged a $25 late fee.

Congratulations!

Congrats to our Competition Teams on their first competition yesterday. They did great coming home with multiple awards including Category Award (The Climb), 4th Overall Award (Forget You) and Judges Choice Award (Hip Hip Chin Chin). Way to kick off the season girls!!
Now onto the next and its coming up fast...Feb 10-12 at Pinnicale High School...

Add on class offer!

DON'T FORGET...add a class to your current dance schedule for only an additional $25, add two classes for $40!! Dancer must be enrolled by Jan 31st. This special pricing runs through July 2012. Act now, spaces are filling up fast!

2012 Winter Recital

The 2012 Winter Recital was quite the success!! The dancers pulled out all the stops and did an AMAZING job! It is great to see the excitement on their faces backstage as they anticipate their time on stage...all the hard work is worth it.

Thank you so much to all the people that helped out backstage, we honestly couldn't do it without you! A special Thank You to Darius Perry, our MC for the night. And of course, all our dancers, Miss Marisol and Miss Melissa. All your hard work was apparent, what a great night!

Dress Rehearsal: 9:00 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2012 DRESS REHEARSAL IS NOT AT THE DANCE STUDIO!

Recital: 6:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2012 (Dancers must arrive at 5:20 p.m.)

Directions from Sundance Studios (24^th location) to Tempe Performing Arts Center:
Head East on Baseline Rd. (Towards the 60/AZ Mills Mall)
Turn LEFT (North) on S. Priest Dr. (Right by AZ Mills)
Turn RIGHT (East) on Rio Salado Parkway
End: 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe AZ 85281-5293
(This is a 20-25 minute drive from 24^th St. and a 40 min drive from the 75^th Ave. Studio)

Dress Rehearsal:
ALL COMBO LEVEL 1 students arrive in their first costume at 9:00 a.m at the SOUTH ENTRANCE doors of the Tempe Performing Arts Center (Please refer to the order of routines attached).
ALL LEVEL 2 and TECH  students please arrive at 11:00 am. Stage parents will be waiting for your child. You will sign in your child with security and you may go to the audience to view the rehearsal if you would like.

Only stage volunteers are allowed backstage.

DON’T forget DANCE SHOES! All dancers must wear flesh colored dance tights (gymnastics class wears tights that stop at the ankle). If your child is in more than one dance, all other costumes must be labeled (white tape works well) with the student’s name and dance on it.  It is highly recommended to have a garment/dance bag with all of your child’s costumes in your child’s hands. Please put all accessories to costumes (bows, shoe ties, etc.) in a plastic baggie with your costume bag. Don’t forget tap/ballet shoes and flesh colored tights.  Please put your child’s name on his/her shoes! Dancers will be released to parents at the end of the show at the South ramp of the main lobby. Stage parents will be waiting with your dancers to deliver them back to you.

Recital: Dancers, please arrive at 5:20 p.m. in your first costume/ full hair and make-up. Please check in your dancer with security and proceed to your seats; the recital will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m.  There will be a 10-minute intermission halfway through the show. We should finish by around 8:30 p.m. If your dancer is late to the recital, they may miss their performance. It is imperative that your dancer is on time!

Tickets: Tickets will be on sale at the Tempe Performing Arts Center Box Office on January   2012 (480-350-2822). Please reserve your tickets in advance; our show is likely to sell out! 

DVD’s: Everyone will receive a complimentary DVD of the show!!

Happy New Year!

Classes Resume :

We hope everyone enjoyed their holiday break! Classes were set to resume Jan 3rd. We are opening the studio on Monday, January 2 if you would like to come back early!

WINTER RECITAL :

The Winter Recital is Saturday, January 14th!! You will be receiving info later this week regarding rehearsal and tickets.

Stage Volunteers Needed :

We are still in need of stage volunteers. Remember, all stage volunteers receive a discount on the July costumes.

Recital Picture CDs :

A CD of both the individual and group pictures will be available for purchase.

$40 for 1 costume

$50 for multiple costumes

$60 for multiple dancers

Recital Tickets :

We will be offering Folklorico this year! Reserve your spots now!

January Class Special :

Bring a friend to dance :

Your dancers can bring a friend to dance January 16-31, 2012 for free! If they sign up, you will receive a 10% discount for the next 2 months!

Hip Hop Dance Clinic :

Sign up now for a hip hop clinic with Stacy J.

First 10 sign ups= $8. Normal rates will be $15 for the workshop.

Dancers will need to be paid in full to reserve a spot. More info to come...

1 class/ week= $61/mo

2 classes/ week= $92/mo

3 classes/week= $134/mo

CL2 combo (Sat 11:25)= $80/mo

CL1 5pack combo (Thurs 5:15)= $67/mo
